Kershaw County and the Central Midlands Council of Governments have hired Toole Design Group to develop the West Wateree Transportation Plan to focus on balancing growth, transportation needs, and the community’s desires for the future.
The area under study is centered along the US Highway 1 corridor from the Richland County line up to the Wateree River, including Elgin and Lugoff.
A drop-in public meeting will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elgin Town Hall. Meeting participants will be provided interactive opportunities to give input regarding their desires for the community. Please plan now to join us on May 4th.
