Lake Wateree Association Area Representative and Alternates
Roles and Responsibilities
The general management of the affairs of the Lake Wateree Association (LWA) shall be vested in a Board of Directors made up of one representative and one or more alternates from each membership area. LWA is divided into fourteen (14) distinct membership areas numbered 1-14. Please see below for “Lake Wateree Association Membership Areas”, for the specific breakdown of the fourteen areas.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- 1. Attend all Lake Wateree Association meetings representing your membership area. Be the spokesperson for your area’s specific concerns and opinions and vote accordingly. Where necessary, research topics and gather facts relative to your area’s specific concern(s) for presentation to the entire Board.
- 2. Provide feedback to your membership area on all LWA activities where a specific area of concern has been raised, discussed, and/or resolved.
- 3. Welcome new area members that join LWA and follow-up with members who have not renewed membership. Oftentimes a simple reminder is all that is needed to restore membership.
- 4. Be an Association ambassador by discussing the attributes, accomplishments, and vision of the organization to persons, businesses, and organizations. Take the initiative to promote the organization when the opportunity arises.
- 5. Serve as a member on the Membership Committee.
- 6. Support membership and membership programs within your area.
