LWA Members:

The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation is holding a Water Watcher Training for residents on and around Lake Wateree.
Water Watchers are trained volunteers who are the network of eyes, ears and voice of the Catawba River.

Led by our Riverkeeper, Sam Perkins, this training will include instruction on the latest techniques, procedures, legal aspects, and historical knowledge to properly monitor our river basin. There is also an outdoor, in-the-field component.

Below are the details for the training:

When: Saturday, June 24, 2017, 9AM to 4PM (9AM to 2:30PM, classroom setting, 2:30PM to 4PM, site visit)
Where: Lake Wateree Baptist Church, 5856 River Rd, Ridgeway, SC 29130

Parking: Lake Wateree Baptist Church parking lot

Training is free and open to the public. All necessary materials will be provided. No previous knowledge is needed. Please wear comfortable clothes, and shoes that can get wet or dirty.
